Another female coach denied permission to travel on national duties.

Basseterre, St Kitts, October 16, 2019 – Another sporting coach has been refused leave to travel, days after the female coach and chaperone of the Under-18 Girls Handball team was denied permission to travel to Canada.
Wednesday it was learned that Mrs Amanda French-Nanton was denied permission to travel with the National Netball Team to neighbouring St Maarten on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, Mrs Hilarine Blanchette was denied time to travel with the team to Barbados to process their applications for Canada visas before travelling Sunday for Montreal via Toronto.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Sports, Hon Shawn Richards, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Tom Buchanan and Acting Director of Sports, Anthony Wiltshire refused to give Mrs Hilarine Blanchette time off from work to perform national duties. The girls are in the care of two males.
A letter dated October 9, 2019 addressed to all national coaches informed that “as of Monday 14th October 2019, you are required to occupy one of the following boxes, 3, 4 or 5. Failure to comply will appropriate action.”
The letter is signed by Acting Director of Sports, Anthony Wiltshire
