Public Blocked From Attending Carnival Prize Giving Ceremony

The general public is yet again outraged by the actions of the Carnival Committee and its Chairman Noah Mills, for privatizing this year’s Prize Giving Ceremony.

To gain entrance to the event, which will be held tomorrowFriday 19th, 2018 at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel, one must present on invitation.

In a release from the Chairman, Mills said that the event is being hosted in honour of the winners of the various competitions, sponsors and corporate partners, and as a result, will be invitation only.

To this, persons of the community have begun expressing their disgust on social media and other media platforms, scrutinizing the committee and their decision to restrict the public from what should be an annual public event. Over the years, the event has been held in Basseterre, where the public was able to share in the celebration with the winners of various carnival events.

Again persons are calling for the removal of Noah Mills as Chairman of the Carnival Committee and for the cultural ministry to be stripped from Hon. Shawn Richard’s portfolio.
